“Walking on foot in some small Caribbean islands, we came to a beach riddled with garbage. In the water, were children frolicking with extreme glee! I stood in awe from where I was standing, not only at the extent of pollution of which I had never seen, but at the immense joy and fellowship of the kids before me from being in that water with garbage floating around them, which could possibly make anyone ill… It is taking a while, but at some point, no child on earth should ever have to play and swim in polluted waters. We will work toward this!” – Simera R. Crawford, Executive Founder

“Environmental Conservation is the broad term for anything that furthers the goal of making life more sustainable for the planet (i.e. the protection, preservation, management, or restoration of natural environments and the communities that inhabit them).”

Cembiorg or The Caribbean Environmental Management Bureau – CEMBI – (acronym pronounced “sem-BEE”), provides assistance in matters related to the Sustainable Development Goals. We are the arm through which our innovative plans are initiated, created, developed and aided before being released as products.

Through our mission and values we are committed to being a driving force towards achieving sustainable development goals through enhancement and innovation of ideas and methods via supportive partnerships, integrity, facilitation, expertise, research & analysis, training, project planning, systems development, implementation and monitoring.

“Environmental Resource(s) Management is the management of the interaction and impact of human societies on the environment. It is not, as the phrase might suggest, the management of the environment itself; but aims to ensure that ecosystem services are protected and maintained for future human generations, and also maintain ecosystem integrity through considering ethical, economic, and scientific (ecological) variables.

Additionally, Environmental Resource Management tries to identify factors affected by conflicts that rise between meeting needs and protecting resources. It is thus linked to environmental protection, health, sustainability and integrated landscape management.”

With our motto being “Sustainable action via innovative thought,” our main objectives towards modernizing Corporate Purpose are to help various businesses and communities become more efficient regarding resource economics in general; produce useful systems through project conceptualization, implementation, budget management, data analysis and specific training; to achieve set goals and thereby increase the marketability of companies and by extension host countries. Hence, our overarching Vision is using the power of corporate purpose towards 100% perpetual sustainability on planet Earth. Our purpose is to produce innovative environmental solutions and progressive mindsets globally.

Specifically, our objectives aim to catalyse communities and businesses to achieve results regarding Sustainable Development: Goal 2– Zero Hunger; Goal 3– Good Health and Well-being; Goal 6– Clean Water and Sanitation; Goal 8– Decent Work and Economic Growth; Goal 9– Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Goal 10– Reduced Inequalities; Goal 11– Sustainable Cities and Communities; Goal 12– Responsible Consumption and Production; Goal 13– Climate Action; Goal 14– Life Below Water; Goal 15– Life on Land; and Goal 17– Partnerships for the Goals.
