~~ INNOVATION IN THE INNOVATION SECTOR ~~
Many entrepreneurial organizations focus mostly on education… and/or design plans. Fiverr is an example that comes close to focusing on a suite of services, but it may be a bit impersonal, and not suited for all startups to use… while some focus on networks and investors… and others may be combined in their focus.
For an online service suite, it would be nice to have a facility to have a chat or call and enter a task for the service provider/freelancer to undertake with a deadline, to evaluate what she or he can deliver without payment… before an arrangement is made. An option can be for these persons to be part of an organization (could be charitable) which pays them for the services and time they give to others based on tasks completed. All service providers on the site or in the organization should sign non-disclosure agreement (NDA) contracts before being onboarded.
Options for compensation should include: 1) paid work; 2) being a co-founder or founding team member; or 3) free/charity.
I believe this kind of service will add to the others offered and significantly improve and catalyse the innovation landscape in developing countries.
I have a dream… seems simple, but I am not sure that it is. This is not my individual dream, but I hope that one day, start-up founders anywhere can go to an organization established to serve them, once they have satisfied requirements…and a whole complement of staff necessary for running any business is there ready to go as if they were the hired staff of the start-up project!
As the project/business grows, they can employ a team of their own, that can be even more suited to the growing business if so desired. So legal employees/personel, marketing personel re social media etc. They may be assigned to more than one start-up in that organization, but those start-ups would be the areas of their focus and business of that organization; as opposed to the organization’s focus being on its own goals, with start-ups being the catalyst for those goals. Both types of organization will be useful, but for growth to be constant, multiple strategies must be employed – fully.
