In this month of “pink-tober” also known as October, we will turn our attention to the ladies!
A lot of people ask if it is challenging being a female in entrepreneurship. If you listen to various discussions, you will find there are varying answers from women. So, is it more challenging for women?
The truth is it is more challenging for some women, not all; in particular single women – women with no children or husband/partner; or rather, women that have not publicly declared who their body parts belong to or have belonged to, or show no clue of, or intention to declare this, or what these body parts may look like. Young women, women of colour, women of certain religions and social backgrounds.
This should be of no surprise, but we are often unaware of the influence certain cultural and social norms and even our biological make-up have over our every action.
In a perfect setting, the only thing that should make something challenging for anyone is his/her lack of: natural ability, passion for dedication, skills, knowledge, environmental sustainability and suitable support systems (around team work and collaboration) to achieve a successful outcome.
